MTV India announces new season of Roadies: MTV Roadies Xtreme

After 14 successful seasons MTV India announced the new season of India’s longest running reality show and this time it would be titled as MTV Roadies Xtreme. The popular youth channel from the house of Viacom18 has released a video to announce the new edition of youth based reality show along with the details of the auditions. The auditions for the upcoming season of MTV Roadies Xtreme are starting from Pune on 6th December.

After the exit of Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman MTV India changed the format of the show and from 12th season (MTV Roadies X2) onwards MTV divided contestants into 4 different gangs led by four celebrity gang leaders.

Started with the sports bikes the journey of Roadies came a long way and now post the association with the automobile manufacturer brand Renault as the title sponsors MTV Roadies now consists of Renault’s cars in the show. The association took place for the 13th season which was titled as the MTV Roadies X4.

Rannvijay Singh won the first season and post that he has been associated with show till date. He hosted around 10 seasons of the show and after that he became a gang leader in the new format of this popular reality show in 12th season MTV Roadies X2 along with Esha Deol, Karan Kundra and Boxer Vijender Singh.

Apart from Rannvijay, MTV Roadies gave many talented VJs and actors to Indian entertainment industry such as Ayushman Khurana, VJ Bani, Prince Narula, Suzzane Mukherjee, Sonel, Renee Dhyani etc.

Last year, fitness athlete Shweta Mehta from Neha Dhupia’s gang won the title by beating up YouTuber Baseer Ali from Prince’s gang. If you believe that you can become a Roadie try your luck this year.

Wishfie, short-video platform for public opinions on news, raises angel funding

Wishfie, the Bengaluru based short-video platform raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding from Staffopedia CEO, Abhishek Singh and a New York based angel network, Tusker Invests. According to a press statement released by the company, this funding will be used to develop the product further, to support vernacular content, and to build its community.
