First edition of Likee’s Digital Influencer Awards: Check out the winner list


Likee, the short video app from the house of Singapore based Bigo Technology announced the winners of the first edition of the Digital Influencer Awards. In association with Muse Dot Media, the award ceremony celebrated the collective achievement of digital creators and disruptors. It honored phenomenal influencers who ruled the internet and charted new avenues for the digital influencer community.

The Digital Influencer Award recognized top-notch names from the influencer community across a varied range of categories such as Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Lifestyle, Comedy, Food, Fitness, Web, TV, International Agency, Sports, Music, Dance, Technology, Motivational, and Bollywood.

Commenting on the Digital Influencer Award, Dev He, India Head - Likee/Bigo said, "The first edition of our Digital Influencer Award was a successful ceremony. Watching the changing dynamics of the digital influencer community is really intriguing and I am glad that we are being able to celebrate people who are paving new roads with innovation and talent. We aim to continue to provide such a platform to brilliant influencers in the country."


Held at Novotel Hotel on Saturday 29th June, the awards night witnessed a sparkling line-up of social media’s finest stars for their marvellous performances in the digital space. TV personalities along with social media sensations such as  Karan Kundra, Anusha Dandekar, Shantanu Maheshwari, Siddharth Nigam, Chef Shipra Khanna among others amped up the glamor quotient of the ceremony.



The award categories also captured aspects of the digital industry with categories such as Digital Youth Icon of the Year, Digital Debut (Male, Female), Emerging Face of Television, and Creator of the Year. The awards were distributed on the basis of content, audience engagement, key metrics, and influencer follower demographics.

Dil Dosti Dance fame Shantanu Maheshwari won Digital Youth Icon award, while Vikas Gupta took the trophy of Creator of The Year. The most loved couple of small screen and the love professors from MTV Love School Karan Kundra and Anusha won Power Couple of The Year award.  

Commenting on his win as Creator of the Year Award, the phenomenal Vikas Gupta said, “I am really happy and excited to be here. I feel excited to be among such talented and beautiful people. I think it is really great that such initiatives are taken to support and celebrate digital influencers who are disrupting the industry and propelling it towards growth.”


Winning the hearts of the audience and its followers, Shruti Sinha, who took away the Influencer of the year for her incredible audience engagement and brand integration in the year 2018, while his boy friend Rohan took the trophy for as Fitness influencer. Check out the complete list below-

Aimed at understanding what Indians are planning to do this New Year while bringing in 2018, the market research and data analysis company Velocity MR announced the results of their latest study. The study covered five key metros of India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai with a sample size of 3000+ adults. The respondents were in the age group of 25 to 55, with a 60:40 split between men and women respectively. The study was conducted by Velocity MR through an online survey on their Markelytics Panel among people drawn from varied demographics. The study found that most respondents shopped online in the past few weeks for a variety of products to bring in the New Year. Top New Year resolutions for 2018 included people wanting to earn more money right on top, followed by wanting a positive approach towards life and thirdly becoming more confident and thereby taking more risks.
