Aaj Tak raises bar for the TV channels by breaking all the TRP records


According to the recent data revealed by BARC, the leading Hindi news channel Aaj Tak sets a benchmark by becoming the first news channel to record highest TRP amongst all genres of channels, with every 4th person in the TV universe seeing the channel.

The rating of 21 crore viewership for Aaj Tak went beyond News channels, GRC channels, and GEC channels. For the first time, it has become the most popular channel amongst all the genres of channels.

Aaj Tak is placed in the third spot at the HSM level in terms of Gross Impression in '000s. In the last four days of this week, Aaj Tak is No.1 channel at the HSM level in Gross Impression in '000s. (4 days Airstrike by India, Dog Fight of fighter jets, Abhinandan release news, Abhinandan release day).

As per BARC data, Aaj Tak has beaten Hindi GECS, Movies and Sports channels not just in coverage but Gross Impression in 000s as well.

Aimed at understanding what Indians are planning to do this New Year while bringing in 2018, the market research and data analysis company Velocity MR announced the results of their latest study. The study covered five key metros of India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai with a sample size of 3000+ adults. The respondents were in the age group of 25 to 55, with a 60:40 split between men and women respectively. The study was conducted by Velocity MR through an online survey on their Markelytics Panel among people drawn from varied demographics.
